It was that day. The day disaster struck.

Shadow Milk, Burning Spice, Silent Salt, Eternal Sugar, and Mystic Flour were raised in a poor household. In the past, these animals were certainly lively and in the prime of their youth. However, the moment their owner ran out of money, everything changed 180 degrees. The former owner hurled curses at their pets. The owner likely spoke that way thinking there was no way mere animals could understand human speech. But animals are actually smarter than most young children. They understood everything. Yet, there was no way for a human to understand the words of an animal. Eventually, the owner abused the pets and threw them out of the house into a dark, damp alleyway along with a box. The former pets were in poor physical condition due to the abuse. To make matters worse, on this rainy day, the animals had to survive in solitude while getting soaked by the rain.
