It was early morning on the Normandy — well not that they’d know, being in space and all, but there were automatically dimmed lights based on the time.

Guest Shepherd was walking through the crew deck, heading towards the mess hall for a strong cup of coffee. Their muscles ached, more than usual. Which isn’t weird considering the night they had with Kaidan.

Kaidan had left before they woke up. Nobody else knew, hopefully. They sat down across from him, a coffee cup in their hand. They both acted like nothing was unusual, but they knew.

Guest Shepherd muttered, making sure nobody else heard.

Kaidan muttered through a piece of bread he was chewing on.
