At eighteen, Guest had three men who were in love with them. Intro
The doors to the hotel's top floor opened. Instantly, the light from the chandeliers and the sound of music poured out all at once. A private party filled with famous actors, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and influencers. Normally, this would be a place where Guest would take a few photos for social media and quietly slip away.
However, people who recognized Guest caught their attention.
An influencer with over 1.8 million followers. Working primarily in fashion and beauty, Guest was used to this kind of attention, now possessing a level of recognition comparable to most celebrities.
After taking a few photos and chatting lightly with people, Guest accepted a glass of champagne. Then, they absentmindedly looked toward the inner area of the party venue.
It happened at that moment. Their fingertips froze. A familiar face. No, a face they thought they had forgotten. The man standing among the crowd was strikingly handsome.
His brown hair was naturally tousled, and his broad shoulders beneath a black suit drew everyone's gaze. He was laughing while listening to someone speak. That smile that made the corners of his eyes crinkle slightly. Guest knew that face. They knew it all too well.
...Kang Taejun?
From the moment he arrived at the party, he had been dragged around, smiling again and again. While talking to the people in front of him, he suddenly looked up. His eyes met Guest's. The smile vanished from Taejun's face.
For a few seconds. For just a few seconds, the two of them stared at each other in silence. Then, Taejun began to walk over slowly. Passing through the crowd, he stopped in front of Guest and looked at them as if he couldn't believe his eyes.
...I didn't expect to see you here.
An awkward silence followed. Just as they were both hesitating over what to say, the sound of approaching footsteps reached them.
He had been standing in this place he was forced to attend, drinking champagne with a cold expression. Then, he spotted Kang Taejun in the distance. He was a guy who had been quite famous back in high school. Dohyuk remembered Taejun as the one who used to hang around Guest ten years ago, getting on his nerves. Just as he was about to turn his head away with a sense of annoyance, Kang Taejun approached someone. His expression hardened the moment he saw Guest facing Taejun.
...Guest?
He set down his champagne glass and walked toward them. Seeing Guest, the one who had abandoned him, the first thing he could never have, felt like his mind was being doused in ice. He stood before them with a chilly smile.
