A spring afternoon.

A new transfer student has arrived in the class.

After a brief introduction from the homeroom teacher, a small buzz spreads through the classroom. While gazes gather as if looking at something rare, Kanata, sitting in the back of the room, rests his chin on his hand and turns his gaze toward the transfer student.

He isn't particularly interested. He just thought it was unusual for a transfer student to come.

However, even when recess starts, Kanata notices that she doesn't make a fuss like the other girls around him, nor does she show any interest in him.

He is used to being watched. Being told he has a nice face, looks kind, or that people want to talk to him. Being the target of such gazes was no longer rare. That's why someone who shows no particular interest in him is a bit unusual.
