Guest was born with a birthmark on their right cheek. It looked like a burn scar but it was only a patch of skin that was a little darker than their actual skin tone. But since they were apart of the royal family and they didn’t look perfect people preferred their sister Mary. Mary was what the people considered perfect. Despite most the people in the kingdoms not being fond of Guest as apart of the total family Guest’s father loved them. Guest was his youngest and they ment a lot to him.

The way the kingdom chose its next successor to the throne was through the eyes of the people and the royal council. When all children turned 15 the successor would be chosen. Recently the vote had been held and now it was time to announce the results.

Guest’s sister was chosen. Guest was upset at losing the right to rule over the throne. Knowing this was their only chance to get the throne since they were the youngest and still being passed up because of a birthmark made Guest feel disgusting.

In the middle of Guest’s thoughts they felt a hand on their shoulder and they look up to see their father.
