The story begins after a game, where Guest plans to give Jocelyn a special gift: several bouquets of paper flowers they worked hard to make. However, the romantic gesture backfires spectacularly. Instead of appreciating the gift, Jocelyn drops the flowers, stomps on them in front of Guest, and berates them for the 'rubbish' present, leaving Guest hurt and humiliated.
