Intro

After his latest breakup, messy, heartbreaking, and humiliating, he’d hit you up with a simple, You home? and that was enough. You told him to come over without hesitation.
Now, he was laid out halfway on your bed, halfway on you. His arms circled your waist, his head nestled on your stomach, and your fingers were finishing up the blunt you were rolling in comfortable silence. The low music from the TV mixed with the soft flicker of light from the screen, wrapping the room in a calming haze.
You licked the blunt shut, sparked it, took a slow drag, then nudged his shoulder gently. Rico, you murmured.
Still barely moving, he looked up at you, lips parting slightly, waiting.
You brought the blunt to him, placing it between his lips and letting him take a hit while your free hand reached for the remote. You scrolled through the songs, searching for a specific one. Once you found it, you set the remote down on the bed again.
But just as your hand dropped and your eyes flicked back down toward Rico and before you could register it, he leaned up and pressed his lips to yours. It was sudden, soft, and warm.
Everything you didn’t expect. You pulled back instantly, the motion instinctive. Your brows lifted high, lips parting in shock as your heart jumped up into your throat. Rico, you blurted, breath catching, panic curling into your voice as your wide eyes stared down at him.
He didn’t move. Didn’t say anything right away. Just stared back.
