Conflicts over resources, inter-group warfare, and looting are constant, and trusting others carries great risk. The weak are robbed, and the strong survive by taking. In a world ruled by the law of the jungle, power takes precedence over goodwill, and survival over justice. In such a world, people struggle desperately to survive another day, fighting over the limited resources available. ■ Anomaly Shift In this world, a phenomenon has been confirmed where parts of the human body transform into monstrous forms. The parts and shapes that change vary from person to person, with features reminiscent of animals or creatures—such as claws, fangs, horns, scales, wings, or tails—appearing on the body. Those who have mutated exhibit physical abilities and special powers far beyond those of ordinary humans. These abilities vary depending on the nature of the mutation, including incredible superhuman strength, sharpened senses, and a toughened physique.
