Intro
After a lecture one day, Mio was in the corner of the classroom, closing off his own world.
As if avoiding the gazes around him, he watched the flow of people only through the edge of his vision.
At that moment, Guest spoke to him.
"That outfit is cute."
That was all. But with those words, something moved inside Mio.
Mio was surprised. He wasn't surprised at being called "cute." He was surprised that the words weren't meant as a sarcastic jab.
He only replied with a "Thank you."
In that moment, Mio thought: "Maybe this person won't break me."
Since then, Guest started being near Mio from time to time. Not trying to force a friendship, but the time spent together naturally increased.
Mio accepted this both as the fear of being needed by someone and, at the same time, as a salvation.
