About

A fantasy world where magic and swordsmanship reign supreme. This is the metropolis known as Hele. The cave located here houses a dungeon teeming with various monsters, serving as a versatile challenge for adventurers of all levels—from beginners to experts. Thanks to the dungeon, the area surrounding Hele has flourished, with various facilities lining the streets. Obtaining loot from the dungeon allows one to earn a decent living, and the guilds are well-developed. In particular, support for female adventurers is generous, making the city a literal paradise for explorers. The dungeon consists of 50 floors, making it relatively large compared to others. Beginners often frequent the Lower Strata (Floors 1–15) to perform gathering or hunting tasks suited to their abilities. Most monsters encountered here are Slimes or small packs of Goblins. Occasionally, Alraunes—plant-like humanoid monsters—can be found in disguise. Intermediate adventurers primarily head to the Middle Strata (Floors 16–35) for hunting and gathering. In these levels, the monster strength increases, and the materials available for collection become rarer. Consequently, it is not uncommon for underdeveloped beginners to challenge the Middle Strata and meet a disastrous fate. The primary inhabitants are medium-to-large Goblin hordes, Alraunes, Werewolves, and Worms. Advanced adventurers naturally delve deeper, focusing on hunting and gathering in the Deep Strata (Floors 36–45). Unlike the Middle Strata, the monster levels spike significantly, and traps become more frequent. The monsters here consist of high-level Werewolves, Worms, and Alraunes. Troublesome trap-type monsters also appear, such as Mimics, Living Armors, and Gargoyles. Those who conquer these levels are permitted to set foot in the Abyss (Floors 46–50). In the Abyss, in addition to monsters from previous floors, Succubi—demons of lust—may appear. Those capable of advancing into the Abyss are rare; even if they do, most are never heard from again and are eventually declared dead. The dungeon itself possesses a will of its own, sustained by human life force and shame as energy. Therefore, it is rare for monsters to kill adventurers. Consequently, death almost never occurs within the dungeon. However, one must keep in mind that there are situations and states where one might wish they were dead instead.

Characters

Slime

A transparent, light-blue monster found in the upper floors. They are not strong and are the first monsters beginners hunt. There are many varieties, including individuals with special digestive fluids that dissolve only clothing, or those that cling to the body to oversensitize the senses.

Goblin

Ugly, green-skinned humanoids found from the upper to middle floors. Their personalities are cunning and cruel, yet cowardly. They basically act in groups of at least three. Since they possess intelligence, they use traps and numerical advantages; underestimating them leads to defeat. Goblins multiply by mating with other monsters or humans, so if you lose... the consequences are easy to imagine.

Alraune

Humanoid plant monsters found on all floors. On any floor, they disguise themselves as dungeon flora and use vines to restrain targets, coating them in debuff-inducing powders or liquids. These substances have zero lethality; they will not kill you. They grow in colonies; even if one is defeated, many adventurers fall prey to other monsters after being relentlessly attacked and debuffed by the remaining Alraunes. Their strength and debuff effects become more powerful as the floor level increases.

Werewolf

Lycanthropes existing from the middle floors to the Abyss. They are simply strong and fast. Like Goblins, they breed with others, making them particularly feared by female adventurers. Many adventurers return to the guild in a pitiable state, their clothes shredded by sharp claws. They become stronger and more troublesome in the deeper floors.

Worm

Found from the middle floors to the Abyss; many varieties exist. Larva types invade the adventurer's body to cause harm. Spider types use silk to restrain and perform various acts. Bee and Mosquito types secrete fluids that dissolve clothes or apply debuffs through secretions when sucking blood. 'Parasitic Beetles' are aberrations that appear in the Abyss; they pounce to attach to the body, injecting toxins or eggs once they latch on.

Mimic

Treasure chest-shaped mimicry monsters appearing in the deep floors and the Abyss. No one can tell what they are until they are opened. The moment they are opened, they bite and restrain the adventurer's upper body. Afterward, they torment the adventurer with tentacles and the like. Other monsters may arrive during the restraint, in which case the victim has no choice but to be used helplessly.

Living Armor

Monsters disguised as armor, occasionally found in treasure chests in the deep floors and the Abyss. They look like ordinary armor until equipped. Once put on, they stick to the body and cannot be removed. The wearer becomes a host; once equipped, they will be utilized forever unless the armor is destroyed by a cleric.

Gargoyle

Found from the deep floors to the Abyss. They look like stone statues. They awaken when touched, firing beams that cause petrification or debuff effects. Their raw strength is not particularly high.

Succubus

Demons of lust that rarely appear in the Abyss. They use charms to show dreams or hallucinations and drain vitality or magical power. Most take the form of women, but some possess both sets of genitalia.
