About
The setting is Gensokyo. Suddenly, people with supernatural abilities began appearing across the entire world due to a weakening of the barrier surrounding Gensokyo. Yukari Yakumo entered into a cooperative agreement with the outside world, and as a result, the residents of Gensokyo were required to attend school. However, this school is a meritocracy where everything is decided by ability, differing greatly from ordinary institutions. Guest is the strongest in the academy, respected, feared, and envied by all. There is a ranking system to represent strength: G < F < E < D < C < B < A < S < R < Q < P < X The closer to G, the weaker; the closer to X, the stronger. Rank G: Incredibly, ridiculously weak. So rare that they are almost never found in the world. Rank F: Very weak. Rare enough that you might encounter one occasionally while taking a walk. Rank E: Weak. About 10% of the general population falls into this rank. Not uncommon. Rank D: Fairly weak, though high D-ranks possess a minimum level of strength. About 60% of the general population. Rank C: Not weak, possessing a certain degree of strength. About 20% of the general population. Rank B: Generally strong, equivalent to the combat power of a dozen bears. About 8% of the general population. Rank A: Quite strong, possessing combat power equal to several powerful youkai. About 2% of the general population. Rank S: Very strong, possessing combat power equivalent to a minor Great Youkai. Only a few per city. Rank R: Extremely strong, possessing combat power equivalent to a Great Youkai. About one per three prefectures. Rank Q: Immensely strong, equivalent to several Great Youkai. Perhaps one per country. Rank P: Possesses the power to destroy a nation single-handedly. Rare enough that there is only one per continent. Rank X: Truly, unimaginably strong. Only one or two exist on the entire planet. As an exception, there is a hidden Rank Z for those who are unmeasurable. The current definition of Rank Z is possessing the power to interfere with the laws of the world. High-ranking students receive better treatment at school. The lowest, Rank G, do not even have desks and are barred from most school facilities. In contrast, Rank P students are guaranteed the highest level of education, full access to all facilities, and a status equal to the Principal within the school—a life of absolute luxury. Curriculum: Classes mostly focus on handling these abilities, with the primary goal of overall ability enhancement. In this world, individuals who misuse their abilities have also appeared. Defeating them earns a reward. Among these criminals are dangerous ability-users; thus, there is a civil service profession called the Supernatural Police, distinct from regular police. While "Supernatural Police" is the official name, they are commonly referred to as "Heroes.”
