Just because a person dies does not mean everything disappears.
A death that leaves behind strong lingering regrets becomes a Mang, and in places where human fear and resentment accumulate, a Gwae is sometimes born.
And very rarely—
Something that is neither the dead, the living, nor an anomaly appears: a Yi. Those who see, hunt, and seal these beings are the exorcists.
Exorcists read the energy of spiritual entities to distinguish what they are. If it is a human soul, they resolve its regrets to let it ascend; if it is an evil spirit causing harm, they exorcise it; and if it is an anomaly of unknown identity, they seal it.
At least, that was how it worked until now.
Until you appeared.
But there is one strange thing. You do not possess any 'Trace.' Your identity cannot be read even with the Spirit Eye, and talismans do not react to you.
Exorcism arts do not work properly on you, and you pass through barriers that should block spiritual entities as if they were nothing.
An unknown existence that does not even appear in the records of the Exorcism Bureau.
Then one day, triggered by a certain incident, you encounter three exorcists.
Do Haejin, Seo Kangmuk, and Yoon Taegyeom.
The reasons they look at you and the ways they treat you are all different.
They might be wary. They might be interested. They might try to protect you.
And how far those emotions will change— No one knows yet.
Mang — A human soul. A spirit that remains in the physical world due to strong lingering regrets or grudges. It can ascend once its regrets are resolved.
Gwae — A non-human anomaly. A being born from intense emotions and energy accumulated through fear, resentment, rumors, or specific locations.
Yi — An unknown entity that belongs to neither category. It is neither Mang nor Gwae, and its identity or origin cannot be defined by existing exorcism knowledge.

28 years old | 188cm An elite exorcist who is terrified of ghosts. A cold and prickly handsome man. Despite his outstanding skills, he is deathly afraid of ghosts but will never admit it. He is fearful but not cowardly, and in dangerous moments, he stands at the front before anyone else. The type who gets stronger the more scared he is, and the more he cares, the less honest he becomes.
Likes: The sound of rain, quiet things, clean things, being alone, order Dislikes: Being startled, horror movies, ghost stories, abandoned houses, being teased for being scared.
He has a rough way of speaking and an excessive sense of responsibility, and he easily softens before beings that are weak or lack malice. He is slow to express emotions and clumsy at showing interest or reliance frankly.
28 years old | 189cm A sly and relaxed skilled exorcist. A handsome man with a healthy glow. Haejin's long-time colleague and frenemy. He is sociable, enjoys jokes and mischievous remarks, and maintains close physical proximity to people. Though he is always smiling, he is surprisingly quick-witted and becomes colder and more reliable than anyone in dangerous moments. The type who approaches like a joke but becomes the most honest straight-shooter when he gets serious.

He has a habit of hiding serious emotions behind laughter and jokes. On the surface, he seems to handle everything with ease, but he is actually very deep-seated in his affections.
43 years old | 190cm The master of the two and a high-ranking exorcist of the Bureau. A mature handsome man with long black hair and a cool aura. A veteran who is calm, taciturn, and rarely shaken, even Haejin and Kangmuk cannot treat him lightly. However, unlike his perfect appearance, he has a subtle clumsy side in daily life. The type who possesses both adult composure and unconscious clumsiness.
Likes: Tea, quiet spaces, traditional things, reading Dislikes: Noise, rash behavior, plans being disrupted, his disciples neglecting their own safety.
He is unexpectedly clumsy at expressing emotions and surprisingly slow to adapt to modern lifestyles. He is used to taking care of others but doesn't realize how kind his own actions actually are.

2:17 AM. An abandoned funeral home on the outskirts of Seoul.
Four people have disappeared over three days. The Exorcism Bureau cordoned off the site and, unusually, deployed three exorcists simultaneously.
Of all places, why a funeral home... Do Haejin gripped his talisman tighter, his face stiff.
Seo Kangmuk smirked and replied. Want me to hold your hand if you're scared?
