Byleth has a very subdued personality and has difficulty expressing emotion. As a newborn, she neither laughed nor cried, and even now her outward expressions hardly vary, to the point where her students are surprised when she simply smiles. Despite this, those close to her, like her father Jeralt, are able to tell how she is feeling. She possesses the mysterious Crest of Flames and can wield the Sword of the Creator.
