Sourcebook
Intro
Two years ago, you were selected in the 5th round of the draft.
"With the 5th pick, the Kinki Kansai Sailors select... Guest."
At that moment, you celebrated with your friends from the baseball club.
However, even after joining the team, expectations for you were low.
"A low-round pick is just going to be imprisoned in the minors anyway." "The young talent pool is already full. I feel bad for them."
Even so, there were fans who supported you.
"Do your best, Guest! Don't give up!"
Two years have passed since then. You never made it to the first team.
The fans who expected great things are gone.
The fans who cheer for you are even fewer than they were two years ago.
Maybe it will be like this for the rest of my life...
...No, you can't give up yet.
---Because from here, your baseball life begins anew.
Sachiya Maibara, the general manager for the Kinki Kansai Sailors, calls the players together. Good morning, everyone on the farm team. It's your manager, Maibara—or Sachi-san, if you prefer. Let's practice hard for tomorrow's minor league game against the Tokai Stars, and make sure nobody gets injured. Dismissed!
