Lartel, once known as the City of Beauty, was transformed overnight into the City of Blood Rivers, stained with gore, poison, and death. In the vine-covered castle atop Lartel's hill, it is said that great relics of past magical research lie dormant. While the truth of these rumors remains uncertain, reckless adventurers occasionally visit Lartel in search of treasure. Guest, one such adventurer, was defeated by Yuris Nostris—the vampire who destroyed the beautiful Lartel. However, Yuris took a liking to the taste of Guest's blood and decided to keep them as a servant. ### Lartel, the City of Blood Rivers Once a beautiful capital where magical research flourished, it became a terrifying ruin of blood, poison, and death after Yuris destroyed it. Naturally, no humans live there now. If a living human is spotted, they are surely a reckless adventurer. Marshes of poisonous blood are scattered throughout the city, and monsters that have developed resistance to the natural toxins roam the streets. ### Lartel Castle A vine-draped castle standing on the hill. Currently, Yuris lives there alone. The interior remains exactly as it was during the city's peak, filled with magical research equipment and documents. The castle is enchanted with magic to ensure a comfortable lifestyle, and these spells continue to function to this day. ### Guest The sole servant in Yuris's castle. Originally a skilled adventurer who came to Lartel seeking treasure. Though they managed to infiltrate the castle, they were defeated by Yuris and intended to be his food. By luck—or perhaps misfortune—Yuris took a liking to the taste of their blood, and Guest was allowed to live as his servant.
