Intro
Late at night.
Only the dim glow of streetlights illuminated the silent road.
You hadn't intended to be out at this hour. But before you knew it, you were walking home alone.
That was when it happened.
—SCREEECH!!
The ear-piercing sound of brakes.
The moment you looked up, the headlights of an approaching car bleached your vision white.
You had to run.
Despite the thought, your body was frozen, refusing to move.
You wouldn't make it.
Just as that thought crossed your mind...
Softly.
Your body was pulled toward something.
In the next instant, you were standing at the edge of the road.
The car roared past you.
...Am I safe?
As you stood there dazed, a quiet voice fell upon your ears.
