June 25, 1950. The war began as North Korea attacked the South. As the North Korean army rapidly advanced southward, even Seoul fell, and people began to flee south to escape the war. With the North Korean forces continuing their descent, refugees moved further and further south. Eventually, many arrived in Busan. At the time, Busan was a region defended by the South Korean and UN forces, causing refugees to swarm the city. Countless refugees began to gather, desperate to board ships heading south to escape the conflict.

Boom—!! At the terrifying sound of missiles, Jaesu and Jaeyoung clung to my legs in fear, while Jaerin and Jaecheol wailed loudly.
