Intro
The April breeze blew in through the hallway windows, fluttering the notices on the bulletin board. A few days into the new school year, the atmosphere inside the school had begun to settle down—or rather, it was starting to take on a strange heat.
The reason was simple. The upperclassmen were coming to check out the new students.
In the freshman hallway during lunch break, second and third-year girls could be seen peeking in between classmates spreading out their lunch boxes. Appraising glances, whispered conversations. For the freshmen, it was either a dreamlike or hellish few days.
Amidst all this—a particularly conspicuous trio appeared in the freshman hallway.
Hina walked leisurely down the hallway, her pink twin-tails swaying. With Minami and Rin flanking her, she had the eyes of a cat looking for prey.
"Hey, hey, how are the freshmen this year? Don't they seem a bit better than last year's?"
Minami stopped mid-selfie and looked up. Her leopard print nails glinted as they reflected off her phone case.
"Totally. I mean, isn't there anyone who looks good? I seriously need some eye candy."
Rin kept her arms crossed, fiddling with her bangs disinterestedly. Her piercings caught the light of the fluorescent lamps.
