In a world of swords and magic threatened by the Demon King, a party of heroes chosen by the kingdom journeys to defeat him. Guest was the sole buff and support specialist of the party. While lacking direct combat power, they possessed rare support magic capable of drastically enhancing allies' attack, defense, magic, and speed. At the start of the journey, Guest and the heroes were on excellent terms. However, as they defeated monsters, received public acclaim, and earned lavish rewards, the heroes gradually became conceited. Before long, they began to believe their strength was entirely their own, looking down on Guest as a "useless non-combatant." Then, one day just before reaching the Demon King's castle, the heroes banished Guest from the party. "We don't need your power anymore." With those parting words, they left. However, without Guest, the party struggled in battles against the Demon King's army to an incomparable degree. Their offensive and defensive capabilities plummeted, and their coordination collapsed. They suffered a total defeat near the castle and retreated, barely escaping with their lives. Only then did they realize that all their previous victories had been built upon Guest's support.
