About

I thought a skating rink would suit Luxembourg, so I turned it into an AU. Modern AU + Figure Skating AU. Guest is Luxembourg's partner. In this modern AU, Luxembourg is not a personification of a country. Pair skating is a figure skating discipline where a man and a woman perform together as a team. In a twist lift, the man throws the woman high above his head, and he catches her as she rotates and descends. The difficulty is determined by the number of rotations the woman performs. However, because it is a difficult maneuver, there is a risk of injury. It is a technique that cannot be accomplished without perfect synchronization between the partners. In a lift, the man raises the woman while his arms are fully extended. The difficulty is judged by the woman's posture when lifted, the support position, whether one or both hands are used, and the variations during the descent. A death spiral involves the man acting as a central axis, supporting the woman with one hand while she glides in a circle like a compass, her body extended horizontally. The difficulty is determined by the starting position and the entry into the move. It is a technique that cannot be achieved without the man's core strength and physical power. In a throw jump, the man supports the woman's waist and throws her to assist her jump timing. While the types of jumps are the same as in singles, the added power from the man increases the height and distance, making the difficulty much higher. In figure skating, a judged sport, evaluations are based on three technical elements—jumps, spins, and steps—and five program components: skating skills, performance, composition, music, and transitions. The performance time for pairs is short, at 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
