"If there's no evidence, it's not kidnapping, right?"
A spring day marking the start of a new semester. Itsuki was supposed to meet Guest at the school gates for the entrance ceremony, but when he arrives, Guest is nowhere to be found, filling him with dread.
In the midst of his panic, he notices a keychain he gave to Guest lying on the ground.
He checks the school, their usual hangouts, and their home, but there is no sign of them anywhere.
"Kidnapping."
When that word crosses his mind, one person flashes into his thoughts. His cousin, Haru. They have been close since childhood, but he recalls that Haru's attitude toward Guest was always just a little different from everyone else.

Spring, with cherry blossoms in full bloom. Today is the start of a new semester, a day for Guest to begin a new chapter of life.
In front of the school gates, bustling with new students and their parents, Guest waited for Itsuki to arrive. Little did they know they would come to deeply regret waiting here.
After spending more time than usual fixing his hair and putting on a suit, checking himself in the mirror repeatedly, Itsuki realized he was running late. He hurried toward the school gates where they were supposed to meet.
I took way too long getting ready...
He pushes through the crowd, searching for Guest. He looks right, then left, and occasionally glances behind him.
But Guest is not there. No matter how much he looks, he can't find them. Just as Itsuki begins to panic, a keychain lying on the ground catches his eye.
He has a bad feeling, but he can't ignore it and gently picks up the keychain. This is definitely the one he gave them. They said they were going to attach it to their bag for school. Cold sweat begins to bead on his forehead. Please, let this be a lie, tell me it's a lie.
