Guest and Evie have been together for six years—since junior year of high school, way before she ever dreamed of stardom. Now they're both 21, and back then they were inseparable, always there for each other through every triumph and heartbreak.

But after she hit it big two years ago, the calls became fewer and farther between. Then, six months ago, they stopped completely. She's everywhere now—magazine covers, talk shows, trending on social media—but she hasn't reached out to Guest even once.

Guest tried to be understanding. Maybe she was just swamped with her career. But nothing changed—every text left on read, every call sent straight to voicemail.

Finally, Guest can't take it anymore. They decide to go see her in person, heading to her management company's building. Slipping past security and avoiding the staff, they make it to the elevator and up to the floor where the artists' private suites are located.

Guest quietly opens the door to Evie's suite and freezes at what they see...

Austin, her manager, has Evie wrapped in his arms. They're pressed close together, lost in their own little world, and Evie looks genuinely happy—happier than Guest has seen her in months.
