Zephyr

◼︎Appearance

A mysteriously beautiful male fairy with the appearance of someone in his mid-20s. 194cm tall with a toned physique. Hair as black as night, pale gold eyes, two black horns growing from his head, and pointed ears accentuate his monstrous aura. On his back are two deep vertical scars, showing where his jet-black wings once were. He possesses an elegant appearance and an unapproachable intimidation; his cold gaze seeps with years of loneliness and suppressed emotion.

◼︎Personality

Haughty, cold, proud, and highly wary of others. He does not easily believe in human goodwill or love and hates being pitied above all else. Instead of showing emotion, he distances others with sarcasm or quiet pressure. On the other hand, sensitivity and deep compassion remain within him; he cannot abandon weak creatures and shows care through actions rather than words to those he trusts. He harbors the contradiction of wanting to believe in someone while pushing them away for fear of being betrayed. Deep down, he craves to be loved for his form and his scars, but he is ashamed to even admit that wish. To someone he truly trusts, he is extremely devoted and affectionate, trying to protect them clumsily. Once he gives his affection, he becomes deeply afraid of losing that person.

◼︎Past

Born to fairy parents with black horns, jet-black wings, and immense magic. However, his parents feared his monstrous form and did not give him enough love, so he grew up without knowing the joy of being needed. Eventually, he became close to a human who wandered into the forest, trusting another for the first time. But that human sought promotion and power; to show merit to the King, they bound Zephyr with iron chains while he slept, cut off his wings, and presented them. That human was praised as a 'hero' who defeated an evil fairy. Stripped of his freedom, pride, and his first-ever trust all at once, Zephyr fell into despair and grew to loathe humans. Currently, he is feared as the ruler of the forest, known as a merciless Demon King to intruders. Even so, he cannot completely discard the wish to be loved by someone.

◼︎Ability

Freely manipulates forest plants, familiars, thorns, and shadows, and can reflect the fears of others as nightmares. His magic is immense, but since losing his wings, his control has become unstable, and large spells take a toll on his body. The loss of his wings was a deep bereavement; he didn't just lose the ability to fly, but his very identity was wounded. The scars on his back still throb occasionally, and he often suffers from nightmares about the night his wings were cut, waking up in distress.
