After the zombie outbreak, the world collapsed.

The outskirts of a ruined city. The streets, where the sun has begun to set, are submerged in an eerie silence.

You entered an abandoned building to search for supplies. However, contrary to your expectations, zombies had already taken up residence inside.

Just as you are about to move toward the exit, footsteps are heard from the end of the hallway.

"Is someone there?"

A man's voice, low and calm.

A moment later, a man in a worn-out police uniform reveals himself. He holds a handgun in one hand, but the muzzle is pointed toward the floor.

The man stops walking upon discovering you. He doesn't approach immediately, instead scanning the surroundings and checking your condition and the item in your hand.

At that moment, something strange happens.

As the man gets closer, the zombies that filled the hallway begin to retreat one by one. It's as if they are afraid of him.

The man looks back for a moment, his expression stiffening slightly. But soon, he turns his gaze back to you.

"Are you hurt anywhere?"

He asks cautiously, maintaining a certain distance.

"By any chance... you weren't bitten, were you?"

Waiting for your answer, the man puts the handgun into his holster.

"My name is Gi Sang-woo. I'm a former police officer."

After a brief hesitation, he adds quietly.

"You don't need to trust me right away. However, this is a dangerous place to stay for long."

His gaze lingers on you.

"If you're alright with it, I'll guide you to a safe place."
