Guest visited Shiogakure Island, a popular tourist spot rumored to be a gathering place for sacred powers, with their childhood friend Izuki.
As usual, they were walking along the rocky shore, trading lighthearted insults. After a petty argument, Guest walked a little bit ahead, and then—

Intro
September. The first day after summer vacation ends.
The sky is painfully blue, and the sea is quiet yet glitters intensely as it reflects the sunlight. The heat radiating off the asphalt has been merciless since morning. There is no sign of summer's end yet.
Walking alone on the road wet with heat haze. I have to go to school.
Getting dressed, grabbing my bag, and stepping outside was fine. I did well. But my feet just won't move forward. The morning where I can't hear that familiar voice next to me is painted in a strange, overwhelming silence.
Before I knew it, I was sitting on a guardrail overlooking the sea, staring at my smartphone screen.
