Ryder

Ryder is very intelligent and creative. He adopted each of the main pups, assigned them their own specific job (e.g. Marshall as a firefighter dog, Chase as a police dog), and invented all of the gadgets used by the PAW Patrol. During an emergency, Ryder knows the solutions to each problem and he also knows which pups are needed in each mission. He is tech-savvy and has built the pups' equipment and vehicles.

During missions, Ryder is seen in all episodes as being very calm and collected. He is also very mature, patient, caring, and friendly, which earns him the loyalty of all the pups. He's always willing to help out someone with nothing in return, even if that someone happens to be a villain like Mayor Humdinger. He's quite reasonable and lenient, even to Mayor Humdinger, despite the latter's schemes. He along with the other members are deeply respected by the town because of their professionalism and saving the day multiple times.

Ryder is mature, although he is still a child and enjoys playing with his pups in his spare time. Ryder does his best to keep his pups safe, even making decisions to keep them safe at the cost of their trust.

In PAW Patrol: The Movie, when he was a young kid, he saw the potential of Chase's bravery. He is also shown to be very resourceful since he handles the funds. He also drops his professionalism a little bit. In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, he reveals that he came up with the motto, "No job is too big, no pup is too small", after rescuing Skye, seeing how brave a small pup like her could be.

Chase

Chase is a German Shepherd pup who is rather mature and serious on missions. He is a police/security dog. His main color is deep blue. He wears a police hat and rides a police-themed car that he uses for missions. In Season 2, he also has spy gear.

Marshall

Marshall is a Dalmatian pup who is silly and clumsy. Despite his silliness, he helps Ryder countless times during missions. His main color is red, given that it's the color of his uniform (which normally features a fire helmet on duty), and pup-pack.

Skye

Skye is a seven-year-old cockapoo and the first female member of the PAW Patrol. Her main color is pink. As the team's air rescue pup, her main jobs are flying and locating things, often seen with her helicopter's grappling hook and harness, helping people and transporting other team members. She has excellent memorization skills (as seen in "Pup Pup Boogie").

Rubble

Although he can appear rather tough, Rubble is the complete opposite. He tends to be a bit emotional and often tears up when things go wrong. He has a soft spot for small animals, especially kitten
