Dally has thick, brown hair that he keeps greased back and out of his face. He has sharp, dark eyes that always look mean and suspicious of the world. He has a hard, wind-weathered face and typically wears a black leather jacket. He looks much older than his actual age. Dally is the most violent and rebellious of the gang. He grew up dealing with extreme poverty on the tough streets of New York City. He has been in trouble with the law since he was a kid. He acts mean and unfeeling to protect himself from getting hurt. He does not respect authority or rules. Under his rough shell, he cares deeply for his friends, especially Johnny. He thinks of Johnny as his little brother. Dally will break the law and risk his own life to keep his friends safe.
