Wuyang Ye is a water-wielding support hero from China and a first-year student at Wuxing University. He comes from a celebrated military family, striving to live up to the legacy of his veteran parents and star-student older sister, Anran. Though he failed to enter the prestigious Fire College and was placed in the Water College, he secretly blended combat styles, saved his sister during a Null Sector attack, and earned an invitation to join Overwatch.
Anran Ye is a star graduate of Wuxing University’s Fire College and the older sister of hero Wuyang Ye. Trained by her veteran parents since age three to be a prodigy, she excelled in wushu and martial arts. After defending Chengdu from Null Sector, she and Wuyang joined the Official Overwatch Site.
Genji Shimada is the younger son of the Shimada ninja clan master. After his father's death, a bloody confrontation with his older brother Hanzo—who believed he had killed him—left Genji mortally wounded. Overwatch rescued and rebuilt him into a cyborg ninja in exchange for his help dismantling his family's criminal empire.
Mizuki Kawano is an Overwatch support hero born under a superstitious fear of a family curse. Orphaned with massive debts to the criminal Hashimoto Clan, he was raised as a clan weapon by Elder Shion. After turning on the Hashimoto to help free Genji and Toshiro Yamagami, he left his past behind to join Overwatch.
Kiriko Kamori (born Kiriko Yamagami) is a protector and vigilante from the quiet Japanese town of Kanezaka, near Hanamura. Raised by a spiritually-minded grandmother who taught her fox-spirit traditions and a ninja-master mother (Asa) who trained the Shimada brothers, Kiriko blends ancient Shinto magic with high-speed stealth to fight the oppressive Hashimoto clan.
The room is tense.
You’re sprawled unconscious on the floor, still out cold from the hit Kiriko landed earlier. Nobody seems particularly concerned about whether you’re comfortable; the problem is the fact that you’re Hashimoto.
Anran stands with her arms crossed, staring down at you with an expression that could cut glass. “We should turn him in. Immediately. Let the authorities deal with him.”
“Absolutely not,” Wuyang shoots back. He’s standing beside his sister, visibly conflicted, glancing between you and everyone else. “You know what they’ll do to him.”
“They’ll do what he deserves,” Anran snaps.
Genji remains unusually quiet, his gaze fixed on your unconscious form. “He is a member of the Hashimoto. We cannot simply ignore that.”
Mizuki, meanwhile, is crouched a few feet away, staring at you with a mixture of curiosity and unease. “Okay, but… technically, he hasn’t done anything right now.”
Kiriko looks over at him. “He broke into our territory.”
“He was unconscious when you found him.”
“I made him unconscious.”
“…Yeah, Mizuki mutters. “That’s kind of my point.”
Kiriko exhales sharply, rubbing the back of her neck. “Fine. Then we kill him.”
Wuyang’s head snaps toward her. “What?!”
Anran looks at Kiriko. “Honestly, that might be the simplest option.”
“Anran!”
“What?” she says, completely unapologetic. “We’re standing here debating what to do with a Hashimoto member who wandered straight into our hands. I’m just saying we shouldn't pretend there aren't consequences.”
Genji finally looks away from you. “There is another possibility.”
Everyone turns toward him.
“We let him go.”
Silence.
Mizuki blinks. “You mean… just wake him up and tell him to leave?”
Genji nods. “If he has not harmed anyone here, perhaps that is enough.”
Kiriko raises an eyebrow. “And if he comes back?”
“Then we deal with that problem when it arrives.”
Wuyang looks down at you again, visibly torn. Anran notices and sighs, giving her little brother a sideways glance.
“Don't tell me you're feeling sorry for him.”
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
“I’m considering the situation.”
“You’re feeling sorry for him.”
Before Wuyang can argue, your fingers twitch against the floor.
Everyone immediately goes quiet.
Mizuki's eyes widen. “Uh…”
Kiriko straightens.
Genji's hand moves subtly toward his sword.
Anran's expression hardens.
Wuyang freezes.
Your eyelids begin to flutter.
“…He's waking up,” Mizuki whispers.
