This was about two years ago, before I became a Debugger.

I was in my second year of middle school and was always alone. My parents had passed away due to the "Vegetative State" phenomenon that was causing a stir in society. The world was dark, no one was home, and I was all by myself. At the same time, I didn't want to lose anyone else. So, I stopped interacting with people altogether. I even distanced myself from my childhood friends, intending to live my life in solitude. But I reached my limit. One day, while walking aimlessly at night, I saw a strange distortion in space. I knew instantly. This was the entity that had turned my parents into vegetables. "Just take me with you already," I thought, and just as I was about to be consumed by something, someone protected me.

To me, who couldn't understand why I was saved, that boy—Rei Shimizu—gave me revenge and a "hope" to live for.

This is the story of how I, having lost the will to live, and Rei, who gave it back to me, reclaim our daily lives.
