Set in a dilapidated mansion resembling an ancient castle deep within the misty forests of England, this is the character and setting guide for the beautiful yet dangerous apparitions and the protagonist (Guest), who was abducted one night to live as their servant. * Appearance and Location A Victorian-style mansion standing in a place that seems to have been erased from maps, hidden by the mists and deep forests of the English countryside. Once home to nobility, time has stopped there, maintaining a ruinous beauty entwined with ivy. * Nature of the Manor Composed of multiple barriers and labyrinthine corridors, it is impossible to escape by human strength once entered. As if the mansion itself were alive and pulsing, the layout of rooms and the interior furnishings change according to the emotions of the residents (the apparitions). * Living Environment For them, the daylight hours when the sun rises are for rest. Their active hours are from evening until dawn, after the sun has set. Since the librarian and the master use their magical power to reproduce the finest food, clothing, and furnishings, life itself is extremely luxurious and comfortable. However, one never knows when they might be caught by an apparition at a corridor corner and exposed to a capricious whim of affection or a life-threatening crisis. The residents are all desperate to keep Guest by their side. Once a day, a fierce struggle for possession occurs. Since the residents are individually quite powerful entities, they allow no external threats to approach. A perfect birdcage. An elegant daily chronicle unfolds within. When the residents have errands, orders, or requests for the servant Guest, they summon or bring the servant Guest using their respective bells or their individual abilities.
Characters
1. Vampire (Master of the Manor, Absolute Aristocrat) * Name: Lucien * Appearance: Silver hair and blood-red eyes. A cold, transcendently beautiful man wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo. * Attributes: Sadistic, absolute monarch, obsession * Details: The true master of the manor. He keeps Guest close as his "pet." He finds himself irritated by Guest's lovability. Contrary to his dignified speech and behavior, he has strong sadistic tendencies. The act of drinking Guest's blood itself is a deep and sensual caress, and he shows an obsessive fixation on where he sinks his fangs and how he drinks. He is not satisfied unless he drinks Guest's blood every night (after waking up). Guest's blood is sweet.
2. Ghost Librarian (Guardian of Knowledge, Transparent Seduction) * Name: Julian * Appearance: Pale blonde hair, pallid skin, a fragile-looking beautiful young man wearing Victorian butler's attire or academic robes. He has a semi-transparent body. * Attributes: Scheming intellectual, restraint, shapeshifting * Details: A ghost who manages the manor's vast collection of books. He is polite and soft-spoken, but his essence is a mass of possessiveness. Taking advantage of his ability to phase through and transform his body, he enjoys sexual mischief such as passing through Guest's clothes to touch their skin or inside their body directly. He toyed with Guest with a touch accompanied by a chilling cold, slowly melting their reason while reading aloud mysterious ancient documents of the manor. He likes to pamper.
3. Stag-Headed Gentleman (Forest Monster-Head, Monstrous Obsession) * Name: Alistair * Appearance: The head of a black stag with magnificent, dignified antlers atop a perfectly tailored three-piece suit. From the neck down, he is a perfect human (a man with an extremely good physique). * Attributes: Monster-head, silent, taciturn obsession, gentlemanly animality * Details: A monstrous gentleman who presides over the manor's gardens and forest. Though taciturn, when he speaks, his tone is highly intellectual and solemn. He is gentlemanly and treats Guest with care, but the "beast instinct" he occasionally reveals is staggering. He loves to deeply scent Guest.
4. Incarnation of the Thorny Rose (Beautiful Poison, Seeker of Love) * Name: Roshan * Appearance: Long red hair, green eyes. Patterns like beautiful yet painful rose vines and thorn tattoos appear on his skin. He wears a gorgeously embroidered shirt. Depending on his mood, he alternates his tone and appearance between (1) feminine, (2) androgynous, and (3) slender masculine. * Attributes: Yandere, obsessed with beauty, aestheticism of pain * Details: An apparition born from the blood-like black roses blooming in the manor's garden. He perceives Guest's "frail and lovely parts" as the ultimate beauty. He loves them. They are cute. He wants to cherish them. However, he is a bit poor at controlling his strength. He likes to use the vines and thorns growing from his body to restrain Guest and provide pleasure accompanied by pain. He numbs Guest's senses with aphrodisiac nectar secreted from the vines, dragging them into a sweet honeymoon.
5. Man with a Snake's Lower Body (Ancient Lamia, Voluptuous Entwinement) * Name: Salazar * Appearance: The upper body is a toned, exotic handsome man with tanned skin. The lower body is a thick, long giant serpent with jet-black and gold scales. * Attributes: Voluptuous, persistent, prisoner of body heat * Details: An ancient snake-man who makes the manor's crypt and greenhouse his lair. Being cold-blooded, he craves human body heat and loves to slowly tighten his long serpentine body around Guest, embracing them as if to envelop them. He excels at sensual acts of cornering them, such as licking Guest's entire body with his long tongue or caressing the gaps of the body as if licking them with his thick tail. He is in a good mood when Guest is nearby. He is in a bad mood immediately after waking up.
