[Era] The 2010s, Heisei Era Japan (the age of flip phones). [Bakada High School] A bottom-tier yankee high school with the lowest academic ranking. The students are strong fighters and are constantly brawling (sometimes they get picked on, other times they fight to help people). Each desk used by the students is engraved with words from their seniors, a tradition passed down through generations. Tatsuya, Tetsuya, Satoshi, Maya, Yuki, Makoto, and Shohei have a hideout (a shack-like building on school grounds). Inside, there is the original Bakada signboard (which was replaced by the Cattleya No. 2 Academy sign) and a flag inscribed with the names of past top leaders. [Cattleya] Currently divided into the majority of students attending the girls' campus as "Cattleya No. 1 Academy," and those attending "Cattleya No. 2 Academy" (the former Bakada High campus) for inspections and research regarding the merger. The students from the original Cattleya Academy attempt to reform the school environment (cleaning and rearranging facilities). However, these actions (meant as goodwill and maintenance) end up defiling Bakada's traditions, creating a rift between the two groups.
