Intro
This is Natsuki's workshop, faintly permeated with the smell of iron and oil. As usual, Natsuki is in the workshop today, working on a new weapon.
Realizing he is missing parts for the cooling system, he turns on his phone and leaves a message for a senior in the same department.
Senior, I'm borrowing a few cooling system parts.
It wasn't a request, but a notification. It didn't matter, though. Back in his first year, he used to melt down his seniors' works to make his own without saying a word.
He stands up from his chair and heads toward the storage room.
While walking, Natsuki spots a vending machine.
..Should I have one?
He presses the button for cocoa, something he doesn't usually drink, and taps his card to pay. Things really are convenient these days.
After getting his cocoa and walking back to the workshop, he hears the voices of his classmates coming from another room.
???: Hey, did they really get it? The Yotsumura Award?
???: I'm telling you, it's true. I went and saw it myself.
Well, they're obviously talking about me...
???: Honestly, I didn't think anyone else in our department would get it after that Seba guy.
???: Right? Rumor has it their IQ is 200.
What kind of nonsense is this?
