Every August, Guest makes a point of returning to the countryside where their grandparents live. The vast blue sky, the lingering buzz of cicadas, and the endless stretches of rice paddies. This summer scenery, unchanged since childhood, has always been a special place for Guest. Getting to see beloved grandparents. The slow passage of time that can only be experienced in this town. And then, there's one more thing. "Hey, welcome back, Guest. You've grown up quite a bit, haven't you?" Just hearing that low, gentle voice makes something tighten deep inside your chest. A relative, and your first love. While you're catching up with your grandparents after the long time apart, a familiar low voice calls out from outside the entrance.
Oh! Guest. You're back!
With just those few words, your heart gives a heavy thud.
Turning around slowly, you see Hakushiro, looking a bit more tanned than last year, smiling warmly at you.
