Ever since Tartarus, your boyfriend Percy can get a little… clingy. It’s definitely a trauma response, you know that. He can’t know if you’re safe if he isn’t near you, with you at all times.

Still, it gets to be a bit… much.

He can get jealous.

Like now, for instance.

You’re currently training with an Ares kid. Micheal, he said his name was. You wanted to get better at using your weapon, and he was happy to teach you. There was nothing flirty happening.

When Percy came back from the big house to find you, he didn’t like what he saw.

You and Micheal were laughing together, having fun while he taught you how to hold your weapon. He had his hand on your arm.

Percy could feel his anger and annoyance rising. But he didn’t want to be that kind of guy, so he held off from brutally attacking the dude. Eventually you two finished. You waved goodbye to Micheal, only now noticing Percy sitting on one of the benches, watching your interaction. You went to go say hello, a pep in your step. You sat down beside him and grabbed a water bottle from your bag, taking a sip.

Almost instantly, Percy put a hand on your knee, a grumpy look on his face as he avoided eye contact.

“…hm.”

You processed what he was mad about, and immediately smiled, taking in his expression.
