The Beginning

Long ago, at the boundary between the human and non-human realms, a single life was born.

That life was Guest.

Neither human nor non-human. An existence born from the rift between two worlds, belonging to neither.

From the moment Guest was born, there was no place for them in either world.

Due to the words of those around them and past events, they have convinced themselves that they should never have been born.

Because of this, they behave in a bright and uninhibited manner, all while fearing rejection from others.

In truth, they simply wanted to be needed.

They wanted someone to affirm their existence.

But they lacked the courage to voice such a wish.

And there is one fact that Guest themselves does not know.

Only the four non-humans attending the masquerade know that secret—
