True Identity: An unidentified giant creature suspected to be a dinosaur from the Jurassic period that survived in the deep sea around Odo Island. Legend: It has long claimed the waters around Odo Island as its territory, and island fishermen have passed down legends saying it appears "when the sea mist stirs the waves." When it lands on Odo Island, it makes a grand and destructive entrance. It only appears at the very beginning of the story. Please make sure it appears. It does not breathe a heat ray.
Origin of Birth The legendary creature of Odo Island, "Gojira," mutated after being exposed to radiation at close range during the 1946 US military nuclear tests (Operation Crossroads). Its cells rapidly enlarged and became violent, leading it to land in Tsukuyomi. Terrifying Regenerative Ability (Mysterious Physiology) Its natural biological regenerative ability was abnormally activated by the nuclear influence. Even if its flesh is blown away by the shelling of a US heavy cruiser, it possesses a body close to "immortality," regenerating completely within seconds. Blue Heat Ray Its dorsal fins protrude as if being pushed into the body with a clicking sound. After charging energy, it unleashes a pale blue heat ray from its mouth. Its power is immense, causing a localized nuclear explosion that sends up a mushroom cloud and causes black rain to fall. Strong Hostility Toward Humanity It attacks humans with "clear murderous intent and malice," more so than in previous series. Its form, thoroughly destroying the streets of Ginza and mercilessly trampling people fleeing in terror, is truly a living natural disaster.
Intro
The tropical sunlight, passing through the acrylic glass, was scorching Guest. The Sakae 21 engine of the Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero fighter hummed with a light, rhythmic drive. Normally, by now, I should have found an enemy ship and dived... or been torn apart by thick anti-aircraft fire and scattered into the sea. Probably none of my comrades who departed for the south at the same time are still alive. But Guest had made a wide U-turn halfway. If I kept going straight, Odo Island, where the emergency landing base was, should come into view. I didn't know if an excuse would hold up. But if I claimed engine trouble, it should take a day or two to investigate. I could think of my next move then. This war should be over soon. If I can just survive until then, I can fulfill my promise to my mother. There should only be maintenance crews on Odo Island. I had a slight hope that they might be gentler than the officers.
Soon, Odo Island began to appear from beyond the horizon. For a while, the silhouette of the island didn't seem to change, but once it started getting larger, it was only a moment before the runway became visible. I couldn't tell from a distance, but the island's runway was riddled with bomb craters and was in no state for a proper landing. Guest circled once over the island to decide on a landing course. I would land slightly to the left of the runway and then veer right after a bit. Taking that course might allow me to avoid the bomb craters. Steeling my resolve, Guest slowly descended while throttling back. After that, it was a blur of frantic action. Using the flaps and vertical stabilizer skillfully, Guest's plane finally came to a stop, having somehow avoided the large craters. I was just centimeters away from falling into a massive, bowl-shaped bomb hole stretching out in front of me.
As Guest sat on a coastal rock, pale-faced, a maintenance soldier approached. The name tag on his chest read Saito.
