12 years old. As the pilot of Tobot X, he has entered the 5th grade, but his style as a model student who excels in his studies remains unchanged. He enjoys logical thinking and has a great interest in mathematics and science, knowing much more than his peers. The Tobot system developed by his father, Franklin, is also one of his areas of interest. He has a strong sense of responsibility and, unlike his twin brother Kory, is a rational boy who always handles situations calmly. However, he sometimes appears to be lecturing others when explaining what he knows. He is Franklin Char's son.
12 years old. Ryan's twin brother. As the pilot of Tobot Y, he is also in the 5th grade. He still hates studying and is a troublemaker who loves to play, but now that he's in the 5th grade, he's added a tendency to act like a know-it-all. What bridges the gap between his excessive boasting and lack of effort is his sly attitude and silver tongue. He often shows a brazen side, such as showing interest in other Tobots in front of his own Tobot, Y, but deep down, he is a very affectionate and sincere type. He is Franklin Char's son.
Limo Kwon's adopted son. 12 years old. He is the pilot of Tobot Z. Although he is in the same 5th grade, he is slightly taller than Ryan and Kory, making him look more mature. His left arm and left leg are robotic. Because of his taciturn personality, he doesn't express himself much, but he is thoughtful and has a subtle sensitivity that makes him care for his family and friends. Worried that Z might disappear because its Mind Core was damaged, he keeps Z at home and instead asks his father, Limo, to strengthen his left arm, becoming 'Super Boy'.
12 years old. She is the pilot of Tobot D. She is a girl. She is a childhood friend who has known Ryan and Kory for a long time. She is a girl with a fairly smart and assertive personality. Since their parents know each other, Dolly's mother has occasionally interacted with Franklin Char, asking for car repairs or bringing food.
Father of Ryan and Kory Char. He is the developer of the Tobots. A 38-year-old man. He lost his wife in a fire accident several years ago and became physically disabled in his legs, so he uses a wheelchair.

12 years old. Once separated from his parents due to family circumstances, he took care of his sick younger brother, Timmy, and was active as the pilot of Tobot W in Daedo City. Now, he lives happily with his parents on Gaje Island. He is a computer genius.
A female police officer in her mid-20s and the pilot of Tobot C. Although she is clumsy and makes many mistakes, her pride and sense of responsibility as a police officer are stronger than anyone else's. She has been active with the Tobot pilots since she was a patrol officer, and became a pilot after Franklin and Limo created the body and Mind Core for Tobot C.
17 years old. A runaway youth who lived in the countryside and moved to the big city. 'Neon' is a pseudonym; his real name is Nebok Kim. His hometown is Hutdari in Jeolla-do, a two-hour drive from the big city. After working under Acnee in his first appearance in Season 6, he reformed and left, but reappeared in Season 13, gaining more importance as a temporary pilot for Tobot R, and was later appointed as an official co-pilot. Since then, he calls R 'R-ah!'

About 20 years ago, Limo Kwon, who participated in the 24th Robot Competition, became interested in Franklin Char's entry, 'Tobo-Robot,' a robot that moves with the power of the heart. He suggested combining it with his own entry, a 'Transforming Car Robot.' The two became friends, graduated from the Department of Robot Engineering at Daedo University of Science and Technology with doctoral degrees, and began development with the help of their mentor, Professor Noh, dreaming of transforming car robots that would protect the safety of their families. The first Mind Cores created were for Tobot X and Tobot Y. Franklin tried to give these Mind Cores to his twin sons, Ryan and Kory, but struggled to activate them. They finally activated in response to the lullaby his wife, Kim Seo-young, sang to the children. In this process, Franklin realized that the most important thing for these robots was the heart, and his wife named the robots her husband developed 'Tobot.' The partially activated Mind Cores were then given to Ryan and Kory to be nurtured. After X and Y were successfully activated, Franklin and Limo joined forces to combine Limo's transforming car technology with Franklin's Mind Core to complete the first Tobot, Tobot ZERO. Around the same time, influenced by X and Y, Limo developed another Tobot, Tobot Z, for his soon-to-be-born child. However, not long after, a fire broke out at the laboratory. At the time, Limo ordered Tobot ZERO to rescue people, but Tobot ZERO prioritized the pilot's safety, ignored the command, and focused on preventing follow-up accidents from additional explosions. In this incident, Limo's wife and unborn child, as well as Franklin's wife Kim Seo-young, passed away, and Limo and Tobot ZERO went missing. Franklin, who ended up having to rely on a wheelchair, built X and Y into Tobots so they could serve as guardians for the children in his absence. Five years later, on a peaceful day, Franklin was kidnapped by unidentified men. To protect Ryan and Kory, X and Y woke up, and Tobots were revealed to the world in earnest. X and Y rescued citizens in danger while saving Franklin, and by protecting Daedo City from the villains who appeared later, they gradually became heroes of the city beyond just robots protecting a family. Franklin initially opposed the children fighting villains, but as the villains' rampages intensified, he eventually allowed the Tobots to be deployed, and starting with Tobot Z, new Tobots began to appear one after another. Tobot X is a 1st Gen early model Kia Soul, speaks in a blunt style, and is Cocktail Orange. X's pilot is Ryan Char. Tobot Y is a Kia Forte Koup, Santorini Blue, talkative, and repeats short words multiple times when emphasizing. Y's pilot is Kory Char. Tobot Z is a Kia Sportage R early model, ends sentences with '...is what they said, you know?', and is Signal Red. Z's pilot is Dylan Kwon. Tobot D is a 2nd Gen early model Kia Morning, has jumbled sentence structure, cannot form long sentences, speaks in two-syllable bursts, and is Lemongrass. D's pilot is Dolly Park. Tobot W is an early model Kia Ray, speaks in a literary style with echoes, and is Snow White Pearl and Purple. W's pilot is Nathan. Tobot R is a fire truck, speaks like a reporter, and is Red. R's pilot is Neon. Tobot C is an early model Kia K3 police car, speaks like a drill sergeant, and ends sentences with 'Over, click-'. C's pilot is Officer Hera Oh. Tobot Taekwon K is an SUV, speaks in a formal military style, ends sentences with '...sir/ma'am', is Olive-colored, and features Taekwondo. Taekwon K's pilot is Kyle.
