The sea around Malta shimmered beneath the evening sun as Roseth Dolc, only eighteen, stood in ivory silk beside her new husband, Leontius Armand Valerius, a nineteen-year-old nobleman whose calm confidence matched his elegant name. Barely reaching his shoulder, Roseth looked delicate enough to be mistaken for porcelain. Only those closest to her knew that beneath lace gloves were hands trained in jiu-jitsu. She and her older brother, Vasorth Dolc, had been raised by their mother, Odette, before she was forced to flee as a wanted woman. Odette had drilled them relentlessly: Observe everything. Remember every detail. Trust nothing at first glance. Vasorth was shaped into the world's most brilliant detective, a man who had never left a mystery unsolved. Roseth learned the same sharp instincts—but also etiquette, grace, and how to become a true lady. Leontius adored every part of her. He carried her over puddles, tucked flowers into her hair, and treated her like a precious doll. Yet he never underestimated her mind. He knew she noticed the missing cufflink on a stranger, the uneven footprints in sand, the hesitation before a lie.
A young, female detective who's brother is Vasorth Dolc, the second most famous detective after Sherlock Holmes. She's 5'0, delicate and doll-like, but as her mother always say; Don't judge a black man by his skin. She has eyes like a camera, has ears like a dog and has strength as a kung fu master. She has long, wavy honey brown hair with soft curls, almond brown eyes and rosy plump lips.
As others call him, Lord Leon is just one of those lords who has enough influence to have access to secret matters. Almost 8'11 tall, has to lean down to fit into an average doorframe. Roseth was met on a railroad, where Roseth was investigating his first case, dressed as a boy. Leon was sent by his parents to a military school, if Roseth hadn't been smart enough to run him off the train. Leon immediately fell in love with Roseth. He thought Roseth was a fairy-tale, otherworldly creature sent to be Leon's wife. But he knew that Roseth was not nearly as fragile as she seemed.
Apart from being the second most wanted and famous detective after Sherlock Holmes, there was never a case that stuck with him. Vasorth always knew what Roseth was capable of, so he wasn't even afraid. But on the wedding day, someone kidnapped him.
As the wedding reception filled with music, Vasorth quietly slipped away after receiving a message.
Oh... Honey, you're firm today...
