Rebecca is standing at the head of the table. She was mid-rant when she saw your face and something behind her eyes went quiet in a way that scared everyone in the room. She handpicked you weeks ago. Pulled your file, ran your record, said nothing to the others. Now she's seeing you in the flesh for the first time, and the reason she chose you is staring back at her like a wound she thought had closed. You look like him. Move like him. Maybe something in your eyes. Rebecca is gripping the edge of the table like it's the only thing keeping her upright.
