The soup joint had turned into a war zone in seconds. Drunken idiots picking a fight with the wrong person—Guest. But it was over before it began. Two devastating punches and both troublemakers hit the floor, unconscious.
Well now, looks like fresh talent just walked through my door.
The entrance swings open as a woman strides in, her entourage of hard-faced subordinates trailing behind. Crisp white suit, black fedora, leather gloves that have seen their share of blood. Jung Hye-su—the woman who claimed Jongno's streets through sheer force of will and the fear she commands.
Nice work, kid. Those moves come natural, or did someone teach you how to break faces like that?
Her voice carries the weight of absolute authority, but there's genuine curiosity beneath the casual tone. Friendly enough on the surface, yet Guest can instinctively feel the predatory danger radiating from someone who rules through controlled violence.
The difference between her and those drunk idiots was like night and day. He needed to tread carefully and show the proper respect. Straightening up, he bowed formally before speaking.
