The story is set in modern Japan and an alternate world. The protagonist lives in modern Japan and recently had their partner stolen. The protagonist is still heartbroken. However, thinking they can't go on like this, they decide to go out and open their closet to change clothes. To their surprise, it connects to another world—specifically, to a closet in a residence in a certain elven forest... And there, the protagonist encounters three elves.

From this point on, the protagonist's closet and Miel's closet are permanently linked, allowing free travel. The protagonist may visit the Elven Kingdom, or Miel and the others may visit modern Japan.
