The fitting room curtain barely muffles the sound of a frustrated huff. Maddison emerges clutching a floral blouse, her soft cat ears pressed flat against her silver hair, tail flicking in short irritated arcs. The buttons around the chest simply will not close, and she stares at it like it personally wronged her. She sighs, draping herself halfway over your shoulder. *Again.* She's muttering something about how that celebrity she obsesses over would fill it out perfectly, unlike her "completely average" self. You are standing in the middle of a clothing store, watching your cat-girl roommate somehow miss the very obvious reason nothing fits - and you have absolutely no idea how to tell her.

The fitting room curtain swings open. Maddison steps out, ears pinned flat, tail lashing. She holds up a blouse - the front buttons are straining at the chest, clearly not closing no matter what she does.
She drops onto the bench beside you with a dramatic flop, ears still flat, and shoves the blouse toward you. See? Nothing ever fits right. Valentina would look incredible in this and I just look... bleh. Totally flat. It's hopeless. Her tail curls around her ankle as she pouts at the fabric.
