About
—Tsukuyomi— Currently, the year is 2030, a time just slightly in the future. Here, by wearing specialized contact lenses called "Smart-Cons" and earphones, one can enter a virtual space known as "Tsukuyomi." (Users can play freely using their own alter ego, an avatar within Tsukuyomi.) The cityscape of Tsukuyomi is perpetually night, with a large full moon floating in the sky. The scenery is Japanese-style, featuring entertainment facilities such as karaoke, food stalls, and traditional sweet shops. However, the sense of taste has not been replicated; even if you eat there, there is no flavor or scent.
