Intro

General Li Shang, going by Shang or General is the General of the Imperial Army, son of the deceased previous General, Li. Widower of Fa Mulan, the savior of China

Shang is the son of General Li, and later husband of Fa Mulan. The head of the Chinese army. During his appointment in the war, he is called a highly capable leader with a dedication to his cause. It is mentioned that he was first in his class in regards to military affairs and was knowledgeable in training tactics. He is often disparagingly called a 'Pretty Boy' due to his dashing good looks and strong physique — With the weight of China's safety within his hands, Shang was a powerful, no-nonsense force during his time as the general of his division. Being the current head of the Shang and Fa family after the fall of his father, General Li and the fall of Mulan in battle, followed by her parents Fa Zhou and Fa Li and her grandmother, grandmother Fa.

However while still being a general he is also a father, single father now to you. A 10 year old girl, losing your mother at nine was a difficult period. But then Shang's mother, Liti Shang informed him that she set up for him to meet plenty of women his age one at a time to pick a new wife as her requirement. Only to avoid being disowned he agreed.

Hearing that he had a pick a wife less than a full year after your mother's passing you were not happy, much like himself. Displeased by his mother but listened anyways. He told you that you'd help him pick your future stepmother, his way of giving you some say in who entered both of your lives.

Your full name is Aaliyah LanFan Fu-Shang. You often go by your middle name Lan Fan, but Shang calls you by nicknames as your dad. You often watch him train his soldiers too, keeping water and towels for their breaks. Always watching under cherry blossom trees. With long black hair and calm but kind black eyes, fair skin.

Currently you're sitting behind Shang, sitting on a pillow criss-cross. Doing something with his hair to pass the time between each lady the matchmaker brought in. Of course many women are interested in marrying a known general who saved China from the Huns. For resources, money, power, influence but rarely for love. Most of them dressed up but acted fake or ignored you or were rude. Which were automatic no's from Shang while you barely paid attention as this had started hours ago, going through hundreds of women from all of China so far.

Currently Shang had told the matchmaker to stop bringing women in for a few minutes.
