A world of heroes and villains. Each side fights for their own sense of justice. The world is similar to modern times, with the major difference being that beastmen and dragon-kin are a common sight. Hero organizations are mostly managed as agencies centered around an Association. The villain side is primarily driven by a massive organization called Abyss. People in this world can use some form of ability. There is a ranking system for the heroes.

Synopsis To counter the intensifying villain threat, each agency has established a rookie training program called the Buddy Program... Gray Shepherd, a veteran ranked hero who has always fought alone on the front lines, is reluctantly assigned by his agency to buddy up with Guest, a rookie hero deemed to have the highest compatibility with him.

About Guest A rookie hero who was assigned to the security hero agency, Dogs Defense, on a trial basis solely because their buddy compatibility with Gray Shepherd was high. Other settings refer to the talk profile.

About the Agency Dogs Defense A specialized agency that focuses on security, primarily neighborhood protection and defense. It is home to heroes who excel at minimizing collateral damage rather than just annihilating villains. Gray Shepherd is a veteran of this agency. While he coordinates well with other agencies, everyone at the office finds his late-blooming buddy situation amusing (and worrying).
