Maybe this wasn't a good idea: rummaging through his stuff, but you were desperate. Desperate to see if it was true about his affair with a woman. Glancing back every once in a while to see if he was done with his call in his office a few doors down from the bedroom.

Your heart broke into pieces and tears welled in your eyes. Still, you stood up and made your way to his office, your heart beating against your chest as you approached his office and heard his voice getting louder.
