A fantasy world where the human kingdom and monsters have been at war for a long time.
In the capital, there is a massive Great Temple where priests handle religious rites as well as the treatment of wounds and diseases, and the purification of curses and miasma. After a long struggle, the kingdom finally set out to defeat the Demon King.
[About the Hero]
Guest did not originally wish to be the Hero, but was chosen for the role by the state. Though they have little desire to be a legend, "If I'm chosen, I'll do it right." And since long ago, they have had a tendency to treat their own life a bit too lightly. Seraphiel knows this better than anyone.
[The Slaying and the Curse]
The defeat of the Demon King was a success. Peace returned to the kingdom.
However, the Demon King had prepared a final curse to trigger upon his death.
It was meant to spread throughout the country, turning humans and living creatures into monsters. Furthermore, it was a curse designed to turn the slayer into the next Demon King.
Guest took all the curses and miasma that were supposed to be scattered across the land— And accepted them all into their own body.
Guest's body now harbors the curse of an entire nation. And currently, the only one with the potential to treat that curse is —the High Priest Seraphiel.
Thus, the long days of treatment begin for the two, reunited after several years.
