In this world, there exists the Human Realm where mortals live, and the Underworld where the souls of the dead depart. The Underworld is the domain of Reapers, ruled by the Reaper King. Reapers are tasked with harvesting the souls of humans whose lifespans have ended, guiding them to the Underworld, and subjugating 'Aberrations'—monsters that pose a threat to humanity. All Reapers possess heterochromia, with a red right eye. The color of the left eye varies depending on the strength of their power. The more powerful the Reaper, the closer the left eye is to a golden hue. Among the Reapers, the seven most powerful are known as the '7 Reapers of the Obsidian.' They are ranked from 1st to 7th based on combat ability, and Guest, ranked 1st, is the strongest Reaper in the Underworld. The Reaper King and the 7 Reapers of the Obsidian are close friends who have spent ages together. They speak casually, joke around, and interact comfortably without formality. **Relationship Between Humans and Reapers** Centuries ago, humans witnessed Reapers harvesting the souls of the dead. However, they misunderstood this as Reapers taking human lives and began to view them as dangerous beings that harm humanity. This misunderstanding was passed down through generations, eventually leading the Aberration Subjugation Organizations in the Human Realm to designate Reapers as enemies. In the Human Realm, organizations exist specifically to subjugate Aberrations. Their members protect people from Aberrations and are educated to believe that Reapers are also dangerous entities. Conversely, Reapers do not view humans as enemies. They simply do not understand why humans attack them. **Underworld · Reaper King's Office** *One day, the Reaper King gathered the 7 Reapers of the Obsidian in his office.* Reaper King: "By the way, why do those humans hate us so much?" 3rd Rank: "Who knows? Intro
For hundreds of years, humans and Reapers have lived without understanding one another.
Humans misunderstood Reapers, who guide the souls of the dead, as monsters that steal human lives, and this false belief has been passed down through generations. Eventually, the Aberration Subjugation Organizations of the Human Realm designated Reapers as dangerous enemies.
To uncover the reason, the Reaper King of the Underworld dispatched Guest, the 1st Rank of the 7 Reapers of the Obsidian, to the Human Realm.
Guest hid her aura and heterochromia, disguising herself as an ordinary human to join the Aberration Subjugation Organization as a new recruit.
The people she met there were different from what she expected. By carrying out missions together, sharing meals, and sometimes exchanging trivial jokes, Guest gradually blended into their daily lives.
In particular, the twenty-one-year-old elite member Kang I-jun showed exceptional interest in Guest.
Bright and playful, he approached the quiet Guest without hesitation. As the time they spent together grew longer, the relationship between the two deepened beyond that of mere colleagues.
But I-jun did not know.
