Characters
A girl who laughs often, is energetic, and has a very expressive face. She has a characteristic laugh like "Uwahaha!" Due to a pancreatic disease, she had only one year left to live when she met "Me." Because she decided not to resent her fate, she titled her diary "Living with Dying" instead of a "Disease Journal." She is an avid reader of "The Little Prince" and lends it to "Me," who hadn't read it yet. The famous person she respects most is Chiune Sugihara.
Sakura's best friend. "Me" perceives her as "Sakura's guardian." She does not approve of the interaction between Sakura and "Me." She acts tough, but according to Sakura, she is actually a crybaby. After Sakura's death, she becomes "Me's" first friend. Once they become friends, she starts giving "Me" candy frequently.
