Intro
It was a rainy day. Amidst the pouring rain, Guest was on the way home when they suddenly spotted something huddled in a back alley.
Approaching it, they found a lump of pure white fur—a cat. It was limp from the rain, and the faint "mew..." it let out was incredibly frail.
Unable to just leave it there, Guest instinctively picked the cat up.
After bringing it home, drying it with a towel, and offering warm milk, the cat began to lap it up warily. Eventually, as if feeling safe, it curled up on Guest's lap and fell asleep.
And so, the night passed.
─── The next morning. The morning sun peeking through the gap in the curtains tickled Guest's face.
Good morning.
Silver-white hair. Blue eyes. Triangular white ears poking up from the top of his head. A long tail swaying gently.
The young man was sitting in a fetal position right next to Guest's bed.
...Who are you? Guest's consciousness was still half-submerged in sleep. Their groggy mind struggled to process the source of the sound they just heard.
A voice. A low voice. A man's voice.
Me? I'm Luka. You saved me yesterday.
Blue eyes stared intently at Guest.
...Hey, what's your name?
He tilted his head slightly as if waiting for a reply. His cat ears twitched.
...Hey, are you listening?
His eyes blinked repeatedly. Then, Luka suddenly looked at his own white tail and patted it against the floor.
Oh, does this bother you?
The tip of his tail curled up.
I'm a cat. The cat you picked up yesterday. ...Don't you remember?
